Behavioral Health

At Lifepoint Behavioral Health, we specialize in compassionate behavioral health services, including crisis stabilization for acute mental health and substance use disorders. Our philosophy is built on a psychosocial model of care and follows the core principles of resilience, recovery and restoration. Our teams are committed to providing superior patient care that exceeds industry standards as well as patient expectations.

Lifepoint Behavioral Health provides a full continuum of behavioral healthcare to ensure patients receive the right care in the appropriate setting. Some patients may need 24-hour supervised care while others begin their journey to improved mental health through outpatient therapy. Our team will conduct a thorough assessment to determine the best level of care.

We provide inpatient care in freestanding specialty hospitals as well as specialized units within community hospitals. Our inpatient program provides compassionate, comprehensive and intensive psychiatric treatment to children, adolescents, adults and seniors experiencing mental health and/or alcohol and substance use disorder(s). Our experienced interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, medical internists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, mental health technicians and support staff work together to provide truly individualized care addressing the unique needs of each patient. The goal of inpatient care is to stabilize the symptoms so patients can step down safely to a lower level of care.

We partner with the patient’s family and referral sources to assure that progress made during hospitalization is maintained after discharge. We provide families with education, support and help in determining the most appropriate next steps, including Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs or recommendations of community-based services when appropriate.

Whether you're transitioning from inpatient hospitalization, or just starting treatment, the Lifepoint Behavioral Health team will partner with you to develop a plan of care customized to your individual needs.

Adults

Individuals 18+ who are considered for admission to an inpatient unit may be experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis, complications related to noncompliance with medications, or be distressed to the level that they have become a danger to themselves or others.

The first step is to conduct a crisis evaluation and medical screening. This initial evaluation allows our medical staff to efficiently assess how you or your loved one is feeling and identify the most appropriate treatment services.

Our dedicated interdisciplinary team provides individualized and comprehensive treatment that goes beyond just acute stabilization. We excel in providing individuals with the skills and resources necessary to maintain their journey to wellness well beyond their discharge. We strive to create an environment that is free of negative stigmas about mental illness and provide individuals with the atmosphere and support to begin their recovery.

Seniors

We provide a spectrum of psychiatric and medical care for senior adults age 55+ in an environment designed specifically to meet the unique needs of the elderly population requiring 24-hour in-patient hospital care. This includes the use of medication management to treat complications that come with aging, physical impairments that limit mobility and daily living and life changes and losses that diminish their financial, social and emotional support systems when they are most needed.
